Departmental Updates:
Admissions to the Bachelor of Arts major in Dance have been closed starting Fall 2008. This degree is being phased out.
August 15, 2008
Lower-division dance courses that have not filled will be opened to non-dance majors on August 15.
August 3, 2008:
Advising begins for all declared upper division dance majors (students who have been fully admitted to the major). Please contact 305-348-7500 to schedule an appointment.
Lower division dance students who have not been fully admitted into the BA in Dance should contact Undergraduate Studies for an advising appointment.
July 28, 2008:
The Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Dance Department course schedule is available in Panthersoft for enrollment. All dance courses will require permission numbers, which you will receive from your advisor. There have been numerous changes to the schedule.
All majors will receive a letter and an email notifying them of their status within the major and an appropriate contact for advising.
June 12, 2008:
The FIU Board of Trustees approved the closure of BA in Dance program effectively immediately. Arrangements have been made to make it possible for students who are currently admitted to the program to be able to graduate provided they complete degree requirements by the end of the Spring semester 2011.
